EVENTS
Saturday Jan. 28 will be our first major fund raiser of the year. We will be doing the Kumquat Festival Parking project again this Saturday from 7:30 - 9:30 or 10;00 a.m.
Any youth and adults who are helping should be at Tanno Hall by 7:30 a.m. We will get our posters and roped off areas ready first and then disperse to our various assingments. The adults will be positioned in the actual parking areas and receive the money donations. The youth will direct potential parkers from Meridian Ave. and the side streets with signs. Hopefully, we will have all the spaces filled by 9:30 a.m. or so and everyone can enjoy the rest of their day.
Sunday Jan. 29 we will have youth meeting on Sunday evening at our usual time. Anyone who has instruments, bring them along. We will begin our meeting with worship and a jam session for the 1st time. We are hopeful that the Vestry will have approved our proposal for the sound system and we will have it set up and ready to go on Sunday. Keep the whole process in your prayers this week. Alex and I will work on getting the songs picked out and communication about the songs of the week to everyone before the weekend. The Kaylors have agreed to provide the food for this week.
Feb 5 (next Sunday) will be the Super Sub Sale. We will be making another anouncement, hopefully with a skit, this weekend during church and will take pre-orders and payment for those who remember after church. I'll let you all in on the details of how we're going to take orders on Saturday. We will not have regular youth meeting on Super Bowl Sunday evening (Feb. 5) because of the Sub Sale in the morning.
Finally, a couple of upcoming events that have been nailed down for February as a result of some discussions at the Family Night. On Feb. 12 and 19 we will have our regular youth meetings on Sunday evening at 5:00 as usual.
Our youth activity for the Pasco Fair Weekend will be moved to Saturday, Feb. 25. We will meet at Tanno Hall at 12:30 and go over to the Fair to take in the Rodeo which begins at 1:00 p.m. After the Rodeo we will grab someething to eat at the Fair and stay for whatever else we feel like doing for the afternoon. Mark it down!
No youth group on Sunday, Feb. 26. The Hayride and Campfire event has been scheduled and OK'd by the Jennings family for Saturday, March 3 beginning at 5:00 p.m. This will sort of be a family event also. I will work with Carol on organizing a food sign up for the cookout. There will be more details later. I will make sure that all of this gets on the calendar on the website as well as in announcement form to Sandra for the bulletin. Exciting things are happening at Saint Mary's
